SSC300 Examples – Intermediate System
Overview
The intermediate compass system includes Maretron’s solid state compass (SSC300), which provides magnetic heading information. This system also includes a GPS antenna/receiver (GPS200) which provides magnetic variation based on the vessel’s position. The magnetic variation is combined with the magnetic heading within the display to provide the user with true heading.
The following table shows the products included within this example system plus a list of the information or data available for display.
Product | Description | Available Data List |
DSM250 | Helm pod display | Displays data in this list, monitors the data and if there is a problem will sound an internal buzzer. |
GPS200 | Cabin top GPS | Position, speed over ground, course over ground, time, date, magnetic variation and more |
SSC300 | Compass | Monitors magnetic heading, rate of turn and pitch and roll |
